Storm At Sea

One evening, as I headed down the embankment towards Meols, a storm was brewing out over the sea. Safe in the knowledge that my waterproof was in my backpack, I pressed on. Luckily the storm did not progress inland, and I ended up sitting on the embankment watching the storm play with the sea in the distance.

Every once in a while, the sun poked through the storm clouds and cast some wonderful light. The conditions were changing rapidly, so I simply committed the image to film as quickly as I could.

This image, looking out over the bay, typifies the fickleness of the weather at sea, and also epitomizes the beauty of the coast even in the midst of a powerful storm.
