Birkenhead Park Boathouse
Designed by Joseph Paxton, and an inspiration for New York's Central Park, Birkenhead Park was the first civic park in the world, opened to the public in 1847.
The park has recently been restored, including the Roman Boathouse which now has a new terracota roof, making an impressive visual impact on the park.
