Fort Perch Rock

Starting at: £40.00

Built in the 1820s to protect against the threat of Napoleonic Invasion, Fort Perch Rock stands guard at the mouth of the River Mersey. It has seen quite a few uses throughout its history, from Military Fort, Nightclub, private residence, and now, it is used as a museum. The ripples in the sand are a testament to the ebb and flow of this scene, and the way that the clouds reflect in the water in between the ripples, adds a softness which contrasts with the power of the sea.
